Happy International Women's Day!

Some women know their purpose from a very young age. One of those women was Joan of Arc. In fact, many attribute the quote "I am not afraid, I was born to do this." to Saint Joan.

But that is not, in fact, exactly what she said, although one could argue that is the gist of what she meant. The second quote is what Joan was reported to say and it is more specific. And it makes mention of the fact that Joan knew that the Lord God would make a way for her. Joan knew she was not alone. She knew the Lord had given her a mission and would make a way so that she could complete it. She was operating in complete faith.

To all you women out there, you also have a purpose. Maybe you've always known it, or maybe you feel like you don't have a clue as to why you are here. But trust me, God has a plan and a purpose for your life and will provide you with all manner of means to accomplish it.

"For I know the plans that I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope."

You may not feel like Joan of Arc at the moment, but just be faithful in the Small Things and then Big Things will follow.
